Santa came!

We had a much more relaxing Chrismas this year than normal. We decided to split the holiday between our families instead of seeing both families on both Christmas eve and Christmas Day. It was so nice. Christmas Eve we went to my mom's house for a yummy dinner of croissant sandwiches, orderves?? (pretty sure I spelled that wrong) and my mom's famous sugar cookies and fudge. To this day, we still are not allowed to make the cookies only frost them. She says we can practice at our own house and we play with the dough too much. Trust me, we have all tried to make her cookies. They never turn out right. So, this year I took careful notes and helped frost them. We took family pictures and watched the nativity dvd. Luckily, my husband had already wrapped almost all of the presents that day while the kids and I were out finishing up some last minute stuff. Our kids fortunately are little enough that they don't wake up too early so we slept til 9. Hope was pretty hard to get to bed that night. She was so excited..she heard the jingle bells from Santa's sleigh. Hope only asked for one thing this year so santa made sure she got it ( a sleeping beauty doll that sings) and she also got some books and leap pad tag reader and a ballerina barbie in her stockng. Luke got lots of trucks, cars, and and ironman toy. He loved pushing all the buttons on all the toys. Mom and Dad mostly got a few clothes and a few small things. So, Christmas day it snowed another foot. Bern started digging us out early so that we could go to his mom and dad's for dinner. It was nice to spend the morning at home and we didn't leave to go there until 3. We had a really nice dinner of ham, yummy potatoes, rolls, and salad. We stayed there for a few hours visiting and then went to my grandpa's to visit and open gifts from him for and hour.
We were home by 9 and the kids were in bed. It was a great holiday!
